Diary of an Intern- Day 10- My last Day

My two weeks at LOOK magazine went so fast. I cannot believe that I'm already back in my lovely flat. I miss the hussle and bussle of a busy fashion mag office already. I miss London and the herds of commuters. I miss the rush of it all.

My last day of LOOK, I have to say, was one of the best. I was constantly rushed of my feet, which I loved. I started my day by going to an appointment downstairs with a company who had a product that they wanted to show LOOK. It felt amazing to greet the young lady sitting in front of my and say "Hi, I'm from LOOK...". I spent a few minutes expaining to her what we like as a magazine and what our readers would love, convincing myself that I actually worked there permenantly! Then I presented the info to Catherine, the comissioning editor.
We have all been very busy this week trying to get a photographer to a girl in Libya so it's all be very exciting! While Cathering has been furiously writing the article, I was researching and typing up little bits and bobs for the features such as fact boxes and case studies. You'll see a few in the magazine on Tuesday, although obviously my name is not going to by a case study!
I went for my last lunch with all the lovely interns, Cat, Lauren and Chloe. It's going to be so weird not seeing them everyday and I'm going to miss them all so much! I regulary go over to the fashion cupboard where they are working their butts off to see which clothes and shoes I want to buy! I swear it is like clothes heaven in there! You are surrounded by gorgeous dresses, shoes and bags! I have already written my wishlist ;)
Mean as it was my last day, I bought a little thank you card for Jo and Catherine. I wrote a little message and thanked them for giving me such an amazing opportunity! I'm sure we are going to stay in touch!
So overall, I spent two weeks in my dream job, made some amazing friends (and contacts of course ;) and learnt what it was like to work on a fashion weekly. So what's next? Definetely back next year for me!
