Diary of an Intern- Day 8

Evening sweets!
Today was amazing! I actually have a tiny weeny Byline in LOOK! I wrote a small 200 word bit for the Life Con section about how to stay in touch with friends :) Those first 200 words are the start of my career and will hopefully open up a whole new world for me. The world is my oyster as they say.
As well as writing my little article, I also transcribed for Catherine and Kate which took up a lot of time but one of the articles really opened my eyes. It was about Libya. That's all I'll say ;). Obviously, you can get the jist of it but in true LOOK form, they are looking at the women in the conflict. Whilst listening you the young woman on the tape, it made me think about my life and how things are totally different for me. Obviously because I'm not living in the middle of a conflict but also just the society in which I live in.

Anyway, as well as transcribing, I conducting my usual research for Catherine :) It's going to be so weird not going into work every day and I'm really going to miss everyone. She has been really lovely to me since Jo went and has already said she can't wait for me to come back. This has been so amazing. I'm so grateful. Working hard pays off.
