Art

I have recently moved into a flat with my lovely boyfriend and, like many new flats, it stayed bare for quite a while, until my boyfriend became fixated with stencil art.
In a matter of weeks, our bedroom was transformed from a blank white room to a canvas covered art exhibition. As his love and talent grew, I became more and more inspired by his work and so picked up the paintbrush myself.
I've always been slight arty. I suppose being a journalist, you already have the underlying creative aspect to your personality. However, a pen is still different from a paintbrush. Seen as our collection is becoming larger and larger, I thought I would share some of them with you. My boyfriend is incredibly shy about his work and although he keeps a blog, he would rather me not put it on here (I am determined for him to let me :P )
His works relies on using a stencil and some spray paints and carefully choosing different areas to shade. Starting off with a picture of Marilyn Monroe, he soon moved on to Kate Moss and then onto creating his own unique stencil character of a white dog.
I love that we both share this passion. Although, if you say that to my boyfriend, he will just shrug it off as a slight interest. The truth is, I find his new interest incredibly fanciable and I love that he puts his all into something beautiful. As I write this late night blog post, he is currently creating an Audrey Hepburn canvas for me.
Here are some of the canvases:
