So after a little late night window shopping last night, I ended up going back to the one shop that I know will have some summer beauties that I just won't be able to resist. 
That shop is the delightfully chic Matalan and always comes up trumps when it comes to affordable on trend pieces. This season, it hasn't failed to impress me and I've already picked out some treasures that will see me enter spring in the hottest trends.

• This lovely little satchel is exactly what I'm looking for right now. Something that isn't over the top and can be used both in the day and in the evening. 
• My favourite item of the collection has to be this gorgeous sprint time dress:  I literally love everything about it. Not only is completely on trend with the bold print but it also manages to remain effortlessly feminine by having the cuff and collar detail. 
•  I have to admit that I was also very taken with the gorgeous lace up booties. Perfect for cold spring mornings. Pair with some maroon ankle socks to add a bit of infused colour.
