Getting ready for London Fashion Week

My last few nights have been spent planning my weekend in London for this season's Fashion Week. As a complete fashion week virgin last season, I was completely new to the beautiful yet undoubtedly daunting world  of the fashion elite so I was incredibly nervous and naive as to what I would find. However, this year, I'm a bit older and wiser and I know exactly what I need in order to prepare for my two days at the prestigious event. 

I've been keeping up to date with some of the fabulous designers that will be showcasing at the Exhibitions this year and already picked out some of my faves. Last year, I found the Exhibitions incredibly interesting and creative and met some lovely people whilst having a little look around! Not only did I discover the amazing Paper Self but I also found the incredibly talented Emesha, whom I've followed every since. 

Obviously, I shall also be attended some catwalks and hopefully I'll be able to get some great pictures for you guys to see! 

I've also got two parties planned. I'm going to be attending the lovely Nixalina's Sex and London City LFW party with my lovelies, Hann and Alex. I cannot wait for this party as it's going to be filled with dreamy cocktails and beautiful dresses (and men ;) ) Last year, I was incredibly lucky to be given a dress my the fabulous In Love With Fashion which I completely fell in love with, but this year, I've opted for a gorgeous ASOS number. You'll have to come back to Fashion By Mimi to see what it looks like ;) 

I've also been lucky enough to be invited to the beautiful Naomi Thompson's Book Launch. The book, which is called Style me Vintage: A Guide to sourcing and creating retro looks, can be found at Amazon and is all about looking after your vintage wears. This party promises to be full of beehives, tea dresses and red lipstick and I cannot wait to be a part of it! For this event, I'm going to be wearing a little vintage number to feel a part of things :)
