Job? what job?!

Hello my lovelies.
So Sorry for the lack of blogging lately, I've just been ridiculously busy with University. I graduate in July and so the last few weeks have consisted of work, work and more work! I've also had to make the daunting decision of what I want to do when I finish. I've come to the decision that I need a year out to gain some more experience and develop as a person, before returning to Uni next year to do a post graduate Journalism Course, preferably at Cardiff.
This means that I need to find a media related job asap, which is proving more difficult than I thought. Living in Cardiff has many downfalls when it comes to jobs in the media. Yes, we have the BBC, ITV and S4C, as well as Media Wales and a number of small production companies. However, it seems getting a job opening in these companies is very rare and I'm started wonder if anything will come up at all!
As a budding journalist, I have a lot of experience for a 20 year old. Working with Media Wales from the age of 16 and writing a number of articles both for the valley newspapers and The Western Mail and Echo has given me a lot of experience and new skills. As well as this, I've also been lucky enough to intern at LOOK magazine as a features intern. So, I'm pretty savvy when it comes to getting my name out there but still no job opportunity has risen.
I was wondering how you guys are finding this? Are any of you in the same situation as me?
I'd love to hear from you!

muchos love xxx

  1. I'm sadly in the same situation. I'll be graduating in June and I don't know what to expect in my career of translator and interpreter, especially as I will probably work as a freelance, which is hard during the first few years. I'm pretty scared, to be honest. But hey, let's remain possitive! Being optimistic is the only way!

By the way, I’m hosting a giveaway in my blog: a very unique totebag from Romerobags. Feel free to participate in http://diaryofamoderndaylady.blogspot.com/2012/03/modern-day-lady-first-giveaway.html . Good luck!
