It's happened, I've fallen in love with a necklace...

Nothing completes an outfit like the perfect accessory. Whether it be a beautiful pearl necklace, elegantly gracing your décolletage or a chunky bracelet, pairing fashionably with an attitude oozing knuckle ring.
Jewellery adds a special touch to an outfit that gives it that personal feel. That fashionable feel. It's often the reason we pick certain celebrities over others in a "Who Wore It Best' war, or the reason why we feel a little better when a fashion faux-pas happens (c'mon, we may have turned up at the same party in the same dress, but was she rocking some Chanel earings and a statement necklace?!).
It's no surprise that jewellery has just as much of a place at London Fashion Week as some of the clothes. You only have to aimlessly wander through the beautiful exhibitions to realise that designers take huge pride in their accessories. And, it is here that I have come across some of my favourite jewellery designers to date. Say hello to Fiona Paxton and her outrageously bold and beautiful statement necklaces, Joanna Cave and her gorgeously creative gold earrings, Les Nereides and their innovative and unique collections (I always want every piece!) and Renaissance Life and their gorgeous Swedish keepsakes.

This August, the British Fashion Council has announced the launch of the Rock Vault Dozen, which sees an exciting collaboration of 12 jewellers, who have come together to design a unique ring which is to be created from up to one ounce of the precious and gorgeous metal Palladium. The designs will then be showcased at this season's LFW. Sponsored by the International Palladium Board, the designers involved with this beautiful project include Jordan Askill, Alexandra Jefford, Hillier, Fernando Jorge, Hannah Martin, Husam El Odeh, Imogen Belfield, Jo Hayes Ward, Melanie Georgacopoulos, Sophie Bille Brahe and Tomasz Donocik as well as Yunus and Eliza.
This incredibly exciting and prestigious collaboration is going to be adored by the many press, buyers and bloggers that attend the exhibitions and I for one cannot wait to see it.

However, if like me your purse strings are a little tight at the moment then I've found a gorgeous and affordable little jeweller in the name of Lily King (www.lily-king.com). After discovering them on twitter, I decided to have a little gander at their website and I've fallen in love with the Black and Silver Wing Bracelet (£10), The Vintage Silver Coin Necklace (£8) and the Blue Amazonite Charm Necklace (£8). Lucky for you, there is a sale on at the moment (sale prices listed) and Lily King informed me that  they are also giving away a free gift with every purchase!

As my summer jewellery style seems to be layering and statement pieces, these beautiful designs are definitely up my street, fitting in perfectly with my Spanish Jesus bracelet and Benicassim festival rope bracelets.

Night all,

Mia x
