Rihanna for River Island

I have just received a very exciting email. River Island have announced the launch date of "the most anticipated collection for 2013"- Rihanna for River Island. 

The highly awaited collection will be showcased at a special event at London Fashion Week on Saturday, February 16. 

According to River Island:

"The show will present the Spring/Summer 2013 collection of clothing and accessories designed by Rihanna to the world’s media and her fans for the first time" 


The collaboration was first announced back in 2012 and since then fans have been eagerly awaiting the reveal. The collection is set to launch globally in River Island in stores on Tuesday, March 5 with exclusive opening ceremonies in America and Japan.

Ben Lewis, River Island Chief Exec said: "We are very excited to present our Rihanna for River Island collection at London Fashion Week. This is the
perfect platform to showcase Rihanna’s design talent and ambition."

Also written in the press release was a very excitable quote from the "Umbrella" singer herself:

"Launching at London Fashion Week is a dream come true for me. I have wanted to design my own collection for a long time and to present my collection for River Island alongside all of the other great design 
talent at LFW is a real privilege. I can’t wait to see the reaction from my fans and the fashion press!" - Rihanna

I can't wait to see what the daring singer has to offer with her clothing line. Rihanna is well known for her provocative sense of style as well as her huge sex appeal which makes me think her collection is going to be oozing with attitude. She's a flirty, daring young woman who isn't afraid to push the boundaries, so I think we are anticipating quite an exciting collection.
