Limeade edition exclusive to ASOS £105 |
Since its beginning in a humble home kitchen back in 2008, The Cambridge Satchel Company has been destined for big things. Their creative ways of transforming the classic satchel have caught the eyes of many A-list stars, bloggers and designers, and now it seems they've caught the eye of the most elegant woman in the the land, none other than the Queen herself.
Julie Deane, who founded the company whilst trying to raise funds to send her children to private school, has created a fashion storm, propelling the bag and company into heights that she probably never even dreamed of.
You see, The Cambridge Satchel Company manages to sell in 110 countries around the world. That's quite an achievement don't you think?
The Queen did too and awarded the company the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise in recognition of their global sales and success.
It's easy to see why. Their variety and ability to adapt to each season's trends by bringing out staple key pieces means that they are forever going to STAY as that key on-trend, must have items, adding a bit of colour pop here, or metallic there, depending on the season's styles. I'm personally a fan of the neon limeade edition, adding the perfect amount of colour detail to any outfit!
So, congratulations are definitely in order! It's so amazing to see an innovative company like the satchel company do so well against the fashion giants. Seeing an idea that started as something small bloom and blossom into a worldwide sensation gives inspiration to so many others who have creative ideas.
Oh and, Afternoon tea anyone?
