Love me? Love you.

Love is a losing game. One of the late Amy Winehouse's most poignant lyrics. She was telling the truth though. Why is it that so many people search the world for love and when they find it, it becomes so powerful that it nearly drives them mad? They say that it does don't they. They say that love will drive you insane. It completely grips you and takes over every single feeling. You can't sleep, eat, drink, talk, walk or even think! So why is it that so many of us long for this feeling?
Well for those of you who have been lucky to find it, I'm sure you all know why, because with all the madness and tears it provides, it also gives you the most amazing feeling ever. The safe warm heart that you feel when you look at that special someone. The butterflies in your stomach. The jelly legs and the sweaty palms. All for one person.
I'm lucky, I have my love and I'm incredibly grateful. But, what happens when this love goes away?
As well as being the most amazing thing in the world, it also has the capability to destroy someone. Most of us have an ex and most of us know the feeling you get when you see that someone with someone new. The most excruciating pain in the pit of your stomach that leaves you unable to breathe.
All this may seem dramatic, but believe me, it's very real. The ultimate question is, How long is too long to get over someone? A month?, a year? two years? Sometimes, it's just inevitable that you will always feel something for someone who you used to hold dear.
