The wonderful world of TIBI!

Berries, 60s hemlines, leather clad jackets and lively patterns; welcome to the world of Tibi. Founded in 1997 by designer Amy Smilovic, it specialises in daring designs and inspirational pieces that are sure to make you feel like a princess. With eye catching prints like star constellations, leopard and stained glass windows, the clothes really are in a class of their own and worth every single penny.
The designs are perfectly simple and yet look breathtakingly beautiful as they are showcased down the runways of Paris, New York and London. From long elegant cocktail dresses to quirky tailored dresses, the apparels keep you in awe.

In the past, Tibi has focused on created delicately embellished clothes for young, chic women and its Autumn/Winter 2011 collection is no different. What first catches your eye when browsing their wardrobe is the variety of styles. Adapting previously known trends such as the iconic 60s shift dress and added their own unique edge like a cut out panel or clenched in waist, the designs really do push the boundaries of fashion.
Not one to follow others, they have created their own trends whilst still effortlessly fitting in with the 70s buzz, the androgynous edge, the uplifting patterns and the fur styles that have been set to grace our catwalks this season.
Any girl who is lucky enough to wear or even try on these gorgeous clothes will surely be in awe as every item looks like it has been hand crafted by fashion fairies. Incredibly chic and feminine, Tibi offers you that perfect outfit for any occasion.
It is clearly evident in their newest collection that the designer gets her inspiration from everyday culture like art and music, as the clothes are so unique and effortless. They seem to be alive with culture as they all feature a quality that other designers seem to miss. Almost as if these clothes are art themselves. With both bold and quietly calm colours, the clothes are both a mixture of class feminine and unruly masculine as this autumn, we see the timeless tailored trousers brought back to live once more, this time with pastel colours to set the bold prints of the tunics and tops alive.

Their beautiful attention to detail is also reflected in their adorable coats. Let’s face it, every girl needs one big gorgeous coat that they can rely on to go with any outfit and Tibi has plenty for you to choose from. A personal favourite has to be the Tibi Novelty Outerwear coat, which is featured in their collection for AW 11. The beautiful coral colour would suit any outfit and it could be worn to almost every event. With the ruffled short sleeves and added maroon coloured edging, it is a perfect combination and beautifully made.
However, don’t take my word for it! Tibi has already caught the attention of the magazine elites and has featured in a number of well respected fashion names from Cosmopolitan to Elle and even Teen Vogue (told you it was for everyone!).
