This summer, 8 aspiring young journalists, fresh out of the safe and comforting bubble of university life, won the opportunity to kick start their careers with one massive fashionable jolt.
The opportunity that I'm talking about is the amazing Company Graduate Takeover; a competition which gives 8 budding writers the chance to create and edit the entire October issue (which hits shops TODAY) of the magazine. The lucky 8 were given the incredible task of deciding page to page details including feature ideas, trend reports and even the cover interview. A task that usually belongs to the highly talented and experienced writers that make up the industry renowned Company Mag Team.
The winners of the competition, which was in partnership with Graduate Fashion Week and prestigious Fashion Colleges across the UK, were chosen in March after completing an exciting and creative application task.
The task itself was to create a mood board, a collection of images, text or prints that inspire a design or idea, using the title: "What AW12 means to me". The endless list off entries were then judged and whittled down from the hundreds to 20 then 12 and finally 8, by Company's Victoria White, Oonagh Brennan and Theresa Caney.

The first is with Lucy Smith; one of the lucky 8 and an incredibly talented young writer with an amazingly bright future ahead of her.
The second? None other than the Editor of Company Magazine herself, Victoria White, who despite running one the UK's most prestigious and influential magazines, took time out to answer my questions! (She's practically Super Woman!)
