Miss Vogue

Last week, British Vogue announced that it will launch a brand new magazine purely for its younger readers called "Miss Vogue".

I'm pretty excited about this little gem, not just because it means I'll have another Vogue fix, but because it means a new fresh, young voice is making its way into the fashion scene. Yes, it will be created by the same team behind British Vogue, but it does mean that the younger readers will have a representation in this otherwise rather saturated industry. According to British Vogue, the magazine will focus on the creativity and budget awareness of the younger reader, whilst still maintaining the authority and intelligence of its mother magazine.

With the news breaking on twitter and Vogue.co.uk using a picture of model-of-the-moment Cara Delevingne as its staple, it looks like the opulent magazine is already taking those fresh footsteps into the world of the younger reader, appealing to both their love and interest of social media and their knowledge of the coolest current fashion IT girls.

AND, if that wasn't enough, the magazine will come free with the June issue of British Vogue. So, in May, we will not only have our monthly infusion of sophisticated fashion and news spread across the pages of British Vogue, but we'll also have the 126 pages of the new, young and exciting Miss Vogue.

Although, as of yet, Vogue have not commented on whether the models featured in the magazine will be over 16, which is their current rule for British Vogue.

Vogue editor, Alexandra Shulman, said: "All of us are really excited at the opportunity to create a slightly different Vogue for this readership. We know how much they love the magazine and so I wanted to produce something that would have bespoke content for a younger audience."
